  December 22, 2018 - Heady aroma of oxidative sherry notes. Initially nutty, some time in the glass brings out green apple, lemon, and a certain waxiness. It was interesting to have this with a plate of sauted mushrooms and almonds on the side. The mushrooms accentuated the body and the umami; the almonds brought out the acid. A substantial body, but very fresh with more acid and fruit than I expected in a 2006 white.
  
  On the second day, it was very harmonious, all the angles gone; it was great to have this on its own on the second day.
