  January 21, 2019 - Tar, roses, rhubarb, iron; beautiful, balanced, very long finish but a bit more monolithic than might have been hoped, and the alcohol content somehow seems strangely excessive and dominant; likely would benefit from yet further aging; still tastes young; but there is an intensity and depth, even at present ,that is impressive; considerably better with food than alone, and with food, more integrated, and rather more creamy and enticing
