January 27, 2019 - The colour was quite youthful and vibrant. The nose was complex and tertiary with notes of teak, leather, old furniture, tobacco and truffle. There's still some red fruit flavours in the mouth and whilst tannins have softened it still has plenty of structural support. Each sip offers up something different and there's the ping of some balsamic-like volatility on the finish.

I have one of these bottles kept in the cellar for many years.
Last year I drank a Barolo Fontanafredda 1974 and it was still in perfect shape. I hope that even my Mirafiori 1955 is well preserved as your bottle.
