February 1, 2019 - Brett, brett, brett, brett, brett. You can taste the quality of the fruit underneath but it’s hidden by medicinal and metallic flavours. Burgundy wine makers, please clean up your act, especially as prices sky rocket (current vintages are $300 in Australia). Let the fruit speak and stop destroying terroir with Brett.

Interestingly enough, not one wine critic stated this wine was brett affected. I find it one of the crimes of professional wine tasting and writing that no one calls out a wine that is overly affected by brett. State it as it is and let consumers decide whether they want to purchase fruit/wine flavours or bandages/barnyard flavours. Rant over.

2/2/19, 3:51 AM - In 34 TN here only yours and another one mention brett. So perhaps it is only a small subsample which is affected. This could explain why wine journalists did not mention it.
