February 16, 2019 - Garnet, good clarity, short to medium legs. Aromas are dark & red berry:blackberry, cranberry, raspberry, with hint of light toast. On the palate, berry persists and on night 1 strawberry & cherry emerged as the wine opened up in the glass. Light-medium body, very linear/straightforward texture. Finish is short with low acidity. Impression: basic wine, no complexity, no emergence of spice typical of Shiraz. A pop and pour. At $3 from TJs, for a basic wine, QPR is above average. A potential party wine. Drink now.
