February 18, 2019 - Popped and poured. Initial tasting was done at cellar temperature.

Wine is sort of a turbid crimson color.

Surprisingly fragrant nose of cherries, earth, vanilla, mint, and a touch of funkiness.

On palate, wine is sound. Dry, medium-low tannin (maybe even already receded a bit), medium body, medium alcohol, long finish characterized by clean acidity. With time, it opened up and developed more black fruit flavor.

Good wine, but I prefer a Pinot Noir taste profile that’s a little fresher and more fruit-forward, hence my love for Oregon and California.
