Community Tasting Note

  • pavel_p Likes this wine: 90 points

March 24, 2019 - DFS annual event (Singapore): Clearly darker with more meat than the second wine. Good balance, some soil, dark fruit, fine to medium tannis. Short to medium length. A solid Pauillac but nothing exceptional. Might have benefited from a longer decant in my eyes.

4/24/19, 8:59 AM - You make mention of a longer decant- how long was this bottle decanted and/or how long would you recommend? Thank you. Cheers!

4/24/19, 9:08 AM - Would do 60-90min. This was an organized Barons de Rothschild tasting and I only asked about the decanting they had given the 08 Lafite, which definitively felt very tight, and they said 1h. So the Duhart could had also seen 1h, or more likely less.
