March 28, 2019 - Came across this cab in the secondary market at a really nice price and decided to give it a shot in light of the 93 rating from WA for the 2016 vintage - I figured how much worse could the 2015 vintage be. Dark ruby fruit - dark currants, dark cherry, and strawberry. Smooth mid-palate with decent depth/concentration for the price point - medium body. Nice rich flavors of dark berries and some spice box - fairly prominent strawberry profile which I’ve never really experienced much in the past with a cab. Fairly long finish. Popped/poured but drank out of a decanter for a couple hours. Improved a little with time and took around one hour to open-up. Decent bottle for $28 in the secondary market, however, a lot of tough competition at the Winery direct price of $80. 100% cab.
