April 21, 2019 - Prior bottle was a bit over six months ago and my notes were virtually unchanged. Nose continues to show red cherry, red berry, floral and earth notes. The wine remains medium bodied with bright red cherry upfront, backed with red berry for additional depth. Mid-body is rounded and elegant, showing earth-tinged raspberry and slightly darker fruit before moving to slightly tart red cherry on the backside. Acidity continues to provide contrast and backbone and the wine shows nice length on the mineral accented finish. Based on consistent notes and how well balanced this wine showed tonight, this feels like peak. While it should be able to hold this level for at least another couple of years, I don't see additional improvement. With one bottle left, I may open it as soon as June/July 2019, but certainly by year end.
