April 22, 2019 - Brought with us to the Zatzmans to share over dinner with them. Very attractive and powerful on the nose. Beautiful aromas of crushed dark berries, baking spice, earth and vanilla jump from the glass. Full-bodied and rich - but not overdone. Silky and quite elegant in texture for a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Offers plenty of juicy, delicious cherry, raspberry and pomegranate fruit with excellent depth and intensity. Exquisitely balanced, with a pleasant acidity and only a slight touch of oak. Finishes very long, with abundant, lip-smacking fruit and velvety tannins that are just beginning to integrate. Subtle notes of chalk, citrus and smoke linger on at the very end. Really delicious, but also very polished and complex. Incredible quality for its price point. Paired perfectly with the grilled leg of lamb that Michael made for us.
