April 28, 2019 - The 2014 Ducru-Beaucaillou is an unqualified success. Decanted and followed for 4 hours, the initial cherry, redcurrant, pomegranate nose quickly transitions into an altogether darker cassis and mineral profile which is classically St Julien with Ducru-Beaucaillou’s trademark elegance. Amazing purity both on the nose and palate. Very lively on the palate with wonderful acidity. 100% new oak is always used at DB but the wines are never overly-oaky.

6/5/19, 8:09 PM - Greetings,
I have this in a magnum format. When do you think I can crack this open?

6/6/19, 7:06 PM - Greetings,
Laughing-I forgot to tell you I am 70 years old. Waiting 20 years may not work. Grin Gathering from your note maybe I will hold off for eight years. Would that length of sleeping in my cellar give me a drinkable bottle? -
