  May 4, 2019 - In a really nice place. On the first night, really aromatically expressive—showing red fruits and spice. On the palate there is some tannic structure, and the fruit seems to darken, with just a hint of bitterness on the finish, which recedes once paired with food. On night two the wine is less red-fruity and more dark fruited—less D&R and more Bandol, with earth and spice playing a stronger role. This has structure to support further aging but it’s pretty compelling right now too.
