  May 11, 2019 - Served "triple" blind to my group. Really pretty nose showing provencal herbs, black licorice, menthol, juniper, smoldering incense. Thick, sappy, powerful palate that's more like Amarone than Chateauneuf, but quite suave without obvious alcohol or raisiny fruit. I guessed CdP because of all the aromatic characters, but any amount of sweet or sugary fruit on the palate and I would've been sure this was Amarone. Good wine, but not really my thing. I'd take any number of the classics over this.
