  May 25, 2019 - Popped and poured and consumed over three hours. Deep, virtually opaque red-garnet color with little fading at the rim. Nose somewhat reticent at first but eventually blossomed into a dense, intense blend of earth, Asian spices, oak, and deep red fruits. Wonderfully rich and mouth-filling on the palate with loads of fruit, some lingering tannins, and lovely balancing acidity all creating a very harmonious and succulent wine that was never jammy. Long finish of coffee and tobacco.
