  May 29, 2019 - A complete disappointment. Oak and toasted coffee beans on the nose. Thick and rich and chocolatey. Like some kind of syrup. Kept sniffing and sipping, looking for more, but could find nothing of interest. Its reputation compels one to seek more interest, fragrance, flavour and beauty, but I found nothing other than a gloopy syrup with too much oak, dry tannin and little to recommend it. Honestly, I try hard to admire Bordeaux and Bordeaux blends, and very occasionally I'm truly wowed, but mostly I'm bored stiff by these wines. This is a particularly egregious example.
