May 30, 2019 - I Love Limerick Lane wines, and the 2017 Rose was the wine that taught me good Rose could be had in California. That being said, the 2018 version is not what i had hoped for. This year, the blend is 63% Syrah, 24% Mourvedre and 13% Grenache. Last year was a Syrah/Grenache blend, and the addition of Mourvedre is not an improvement. I wanted to love this wine...

5/31/19, 7:46 AM - I, too, thought the '17 was an unbelievable wine but I find the '18 to be almost equally compelling rose.

5/31/19, 11:14 AM - In all fairness, the 2018 version paired well with a vegetable quiche. Still, I find the Mourvedre adds a metallic bitterness that I don't enjoy. That's the beauty of wine...to each their own. When it comes to American Rose, I appreciate the 2018 Arnot-Roberts and 2018 Cep Vineyards more.

6/4/19, 12:27 PM - Very True. I love Arnot Robert Rose also and just picked up some Rose from Julien Fayard (Azur Rose, similar blending grapes either all Syrah or a GSM blend). Clif Family Winery Rose of Grenache is also a favorite porch pounder.
