  May 31, 2019 - Picked this up on a whim, and it exceeded my expectations. I have next to no experience with Pinotage, so I'm not going to try and contextualize here. That said, this has all the makings of a very good wine. It pours dark, but the fruit is surprisingly vibrant and bright. The wine has great structural backbone, suggesting that it has a long life ahead of it. There's a whif of indigenous yeast wildness, and zero oak. Aromatically, it was pretty closed, but there's potential. I'd wait at least six months before opening this again, 2 years if you have the patience.
