Community Tasting Note

June 6, 2019 - Served double blind. Musty and mushroomy at first, this fanned out to show dried orange peel, herbal tea, walnuts, wrapped in great acidity. Succulent, silky, mature, finished up with a savory rust/dried blood note. I immediately said, "this can only be one thing - Tondonia from the 80s."

Hilariously wrong, but a great endorsement for this fully mature burg which taste much older and prestigious than it is.

4/17/20, 4:48 PM - Great note! I too am pleasantly surprised by how much depth and tertiary notes I'm getting from nose and palate both. I slowed oxed mine for a couple hours prior to diner and this has really blossomed. Wish I had a couple more!

    Cheers
