June 14, 2019 - Five winos excellent adventure , mostly in Burgundy; 6/7/2019-6/15/2019 (Beaune, France): Exquisite youthful yet complex nose, bright sweet red fruit, raspberry, strawberry and rhubarb tart, sour cherry, rose, sap, a hint of stem, a good amount of sous bois, Chinese medicine, tea, baking spices, truffle and earth. Beautifully integrated sensual palate, layers upon layers of sweet red fruit, very precise and detailed, silky and fluid, bright acidity, strong mineral and a seamless incredibly long sweet red fruit driven finish with sous bois and caramel at the end. This bottle is a bit more ready than the last October bottle. Perhaps not as complex as La Tache but it is showing magnificently. If one prefers a lot of sous bois, it can easily improve for another two decades.
