  June 23, 2019 - Now for something different... I had no expectations, and was therefore easily and pleasantly surprised by this very sweet Sauvignon Blanc Auslese. It is distinctly different from a regular SB in the nose, with a rich aroma of ripe yellow fruit and herbs (but without the typical cut grass and gooseberries).
  On the palate very sweet and juicy, slightly herbal but not bitter. I'm sure this could be a great companion for cheese.
  Only thing this wine lacked was a longer finish. Compared to some sweet Rieslings I have tasted, I found this to be a bit thin and lacking depth. It is still very good though, and since it is fair priced I will surely buy another one.
