  June 29, 2019 - Dark magenta robe with hints of purple. Nose of barnyard, straw, rocks and a bit of pepper. Barnyard dominates. Modest palate of cherries, violets, and crushed rock. Hints of savoriness. Easy velvet tannins. Lighter body and good acidity to accentuate the crushed rock on the finish. Despite all check marks here, nothing vaults it into another class, not much to put it above the Crozes of the plains and clearly into a Crozes of the granite hills. Very Good.
