  August 15, 2008 - When first opened smelled heavy in black cherry. First tastes were hot and filled with fruit. Color was very purple and clear. Proceeded to decant for an hour. Heat dissapated. Fruit intensified and then tasted some spice = pepper, clove. Tannins were not heavy. Good food wine - ate with a sixteen spice grilled chicken. Enjoyable and will buy more.
