July 8, 2019 - Decanted for 2 hours which seemed about right. Nose of an aged Bordeaux, but meatier. Leather, cassis, wet hay. There is a richness and sweetness in the front of the mouth like that of grape juice, giving way to warm spicy stewed fruit. Strange but enticing secondary flavours - treacle mixed with balsamic cream. The wine never feels totally balanced but somehow it works, and the finish is wonderfully piquant. On this showing, am looking forward to trying other Musars!

7/9/19, 10:21 AM - Great review and try as many as you can is my advice. I’ve popped and poured up to leaving decanted overnight and have never been disappointed. Musar is Musar is Musar as many people have commented.
