July 10, 2019 - PnPed. Beautiful nose of tart raspberry and tart strawberry, cranberry, rhubarb, red and black currants, lots of earth, smoke and moderate pyrazines: tobacco leaf and crunchy stems but not quite green pepper. The palate is wicked: tons of acid with nowhere to hide. Very pure and lots of potential but hard to drink right now. Will check in tomorrow

Day 2: both the nose and the palate have loosened up for the better. The pyrazines have faded and bit and integrated well and all together the nose is more perfumed and deep: raspberry, blackberry, wild strawberry, cranberry, rhubarb and red and black currants, dark spices and florals, tobacco, some earth with the green in the background to provide a savory complexity. Still tart on the palate but much more giving with deeper fruit, nice spice, good minerals and just a touch of green well integrated. Crunchy and lively, bursting w fresh flavors. The pyrazines come out more towards the end of the palate and show into the finish with minerals and some red fruits. This will probably open up more in the next few days and is really lovely. I do not like Cab Franc in general and I really like this. great winemaking. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5+/6, Finish - 4.5+/6, Je me Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 16.5/20 (with 16.5-17.5/20 potential.)

Day 4: the nose has lost a lot of its exuberance, now showing darker fruits and savory/green notes but the palate is much more resolved: still tart a bit but light and airy and full of red fruits that have sweetened, savory herbal/ tobacco and earth. Lovely.
