July 11, 2019 - Two years since I last tasted this. It retains good fruit and some perfume hints on the nose.
Citrus, white peach on the juicy palate, again changing in the glass as it warmed. The citrus flavours became more prominent as it warmed (lemon, mandarin, grapefruit as before). Excellent acidity and length. Much better as it warmed when subtle herb and spice flavours began to emerge together with richer fruit (apricot). Quite an elegant food wine. It improved a lot above fridge temperature - actually, when closer to room temperature (UK 'summer' room temperature, that is).
Still very drinkable and 'moreish' but not as impressive as I previously found it. I only bought more when it was on offer at Waitrose when it still cost nearly £15. Even at this price, it faces competition from other white Rhone blends from Southern France and, in the case of bigger, richer, creamier wines, from South Australia.
