  July 15, 2019 - Not only was this unbelievably delicious, but I cannot even imagine a wine getting any better than this....if this is not perfection, I am not sure what is. This 2009 Yquem struck the perfect balance between sweetness and acidity, between fruit and minerality, and with just the right amount of oakiness to give the wine character, while lurking in the background. The wine showed no heat, and it was forever changing in the glass. I could easily sit with a bottle of this and enjoy it on a long evening while contemplating how good life can be! I had a three ounce pour (maybe closer to 4 because it was my birthday) and wish I could have taken more time to see how it evolves, but it was just too damn good!
