July 20, 2019 - Three hour decant. Raspberry, shortbread, thyme, boysenberry, plum and black tea on the elegant nose. Super smooth, dry palate, with soft acidity. Firm, albeit low intensity, tannins on the long finish.

It’s a beautiful Napa/Bordeaux hybrid. I know it’s heresy, but I think that’s what prevents a higher score from me. The fruit was a bit too toned down. This is well balanced and beautiful nonetheless.

7/20/19, 9:04 PM - Probably needs another decade or two. Tried the 13 Dominus upon release and it was one of the biggest disappointments, there was a kaleidoscope of flavors so wound up that it was unenjoyable. I was lucky enough to try the 94 vintage a couple weeks ago and it was singing.
