July 23, 2019 - Rated 96 points by JS, 94 points by JD and 93+ by WA. There is so much going on here I doubt this note will do the wine justice. Aromas of tropical fruits, honeysuckle and toasted almonds upon pouring. Flavors of crème Brule, mango, lemon, gingerbread, apricot, pineapple and white pepper delivered on a layered, fresh and silky backbone supported by solid acidity and a vibrant mouthfeel that was both opulent and elegant at the same time. Finish was lengthy and satisfying. Regarding Chardonnay from this venerable producer, this is the best I have tasted. Great now but will become more refined and focused with a few more months in the bottle. Outstanding!
