  July 27, 2019 - Two and a half years on, drinks much better. Typically dark purple color, intense aroma. First taste is smooth almost silent but then bursts in that familar Opus mix of fruits, chocolate, hint of leather with a long lingering finish. Finish is much oakier than before and lasts longer - I guess thats what the extra time does. Now I know - wait 10yrs, not 6 for these wines.

  7/28/19, 9:48 AM - I agree that 10 is usually good but it depends upon the vintage. I think the 2005 is only now starting to soften enough to show beautifully. And the 2015 is drinking well young. 2007 is fabulous right now.
