July 29, 2019 - Tasted alongside a 2011 Black Hills Nota Bene. Decanted ~60 mins. The Tapestry had a sweet nose of bright red fruits and oaky vanilla. Sweet red fruit carried through on the tongue but has a cooked nature to it and the vanilla oak was almost cloying. The acid is dropping out of this wine. The tannins are fine but the finish was medium. Now, I believe other bottles are probably in better condition. The provenance and storage of this wine is questionable because we picked it up an airport wine shop (Edmonton). Could explain the cooked element and the acid falling out. We have a second bottle and will sample that in the coming weeks.

7/31/19, 6:17 PM - We have all bought things at airports that have not panned out - wine is an adventure. Sorry to hear you had this happen to you. Hope the other bottle is better.

Indeed...next time I am in your neck of the woods, we will get together - sounds like a blast, my friend. Thanks for the candid review - keep them coming.
