  August 11, 2019 - This 1998 Rochioli was a little reluctant at first, but it really came into its own with a little air. The nose is muted for a Russian River Valley, but the ripe red fruits (red cherry) are still present. Savory undertones of dark chocolate, earth, spice, and fresh herb are seamlessly integrated into the red cherry on the palate. This 1998 maintained its incredible tension throughout the evening. Remarkable at 21. I would recommend drinking soon as this matured years ago and is on a downward slope.
