August 14, 2019 - Bottle brought from the cellar to drink during afternoon service at Oinoscent.
    Bright pale red color.
The nose was quite muted at first, giving away just smoke notes. As it opens up, you get ripe red fruit aromas next to the oak/smoke and floral notes. After about 3hr you have gamey notes emerging too.
In the palate, the wine shows more earthy notes next to the smokey ones, bright redcurrant, red roses and a thin oak frame. The acidity cuts through with ease all those bucketes of fruit and the wine ends with med to long finish.
I can't see this gaining more complexity so I'd say better consume in the next 3-5 years. On the other hand, my experience with red Burgundy is extremely limited, so I could be wrong. 89+
