August 8, 2019 - Fantastic representation of Oakville by Keplinger! Wow, it's hard to believe this is 2015. PNP with a beautiful balance of fruit and earth. Consumed over two days and it only got better. One of my favorites of the trip.

Tasted along side the following wines in Mountain Village Telluride at 10,000'.

    16 Outpost True Vineyard
    13 Dakota Shy
    12 Odette Reserve
    12 Blankiet Rive Droite

8/15/19, 10:54 AM - Ok a bit jealous over here. Telluride is one of our favorite places- and with a bottle of Keplinger, hard to beat. I just ordered a few more of the ‘15 as they are nearly sold out. Thanks for the tasting update, can’t wait for the ‘16s which I heard are pretty spectacular. Hope to taste them first week of September when I am there.

8/15/19, 11:59 AM - I purchased 3 and should have bought more. I need to call DJ asap! Please let me know what you think of 16.

Oh, and how about Vine Hill Ranch/Keplinger in 2018! That's going to be amazing!

8/15/19, 1:17 PM - I want to try both the oakville and VHR side by side as that will really help formulate an understanding of Helen with VHR grapes and continue direction of their oakville Cabernet which pound for pound is hard to beat.

Will update CT for sure... caveat is not sure what condition I will be in as I tend to have ADD/ADHD and pack in liver damaging itineraries to maximize time/wine consumption. It’s a curse but someone has to do it.

3/11/20, 9:14 PM - Rest in Peace Denis Malbec. His Rive Droite was perhaps one of the finest expressions of New World merlot.

3/12/20, 5:08 AM - Quincy01, Rive Droite is also one of my favorites merlots on the New world. Which vintage happens to be your favorite to date?

3/12/20, 7:08 AM - I think these wines need 8-10 years to really start hitting their peak. I’m really liking the ‘07 and ‘08 right now. That being said I think the ‘12 is a great wine and will only get better over the next 3-5 years. Cheers!

3/12/20, 8:45 AM - My oldest vintage is 2009. I'm loaded up on 10, 12-16. I passed on 17 which might turn out to be great but I'm underwhelmed by most 2017's so far.
