  August 24, 2019 - Not scoring this because I think this is still not ready. A little disheveled in the midpalate, and I don’t think it’s a flaw, it’s just less evolved than I would think for this wine this year. Also, my serving conditions were not ideal so not a fair test. So far I think the 2005 is better and think this estate has been climbing in quality since 2005. Not that it was bad before at all- but recent efforts have in my experience had meaningfully more stuffing and complexity. At any rate, the tannins are already softening so this should sort itself out in another 5 years or so.
