  August 28, 2019 - Refined and polished, leaning modern but still elegant. Accessible, with a roundness on the palate, probably from the merlot. Flint and smoke, almost Pauillac-like. Didn’t seem like St Estephe to me. Fine, but likely needs some time to show depth and soul. Best to hold. Better on night 2.

  With 2 hours of air this is toughening up a bit, but even after knowing what is is, I still have a hard time placing it in St Estephe (and I would not have guessed Pauillac

  8/28/19, 6:54 PM - I get just a bit of flint on the nose making me think Pauillac. But it doesn't really have a strong sense of place, IMHO. Could be anywhere on left bank. Definitely doesn't remind me of Cos, but I never opened a young one.
