  August 31, 2019 - This wine shows a nice compromise between modern and classic with ripe fruit yet admirable complexity and verve. The aromas are pure and rich with notes of blackberry, creosote, smoked meat, and lavender. The palate is so well balanced with juicy fruit, firm tannins, and great persistence. I think this is from a transitional period at Copain, the wine really works as a hybrid of styles.
