  September 1, 2019 - A stunning wine, just entering the start of a many-decade drinking window, with a kaleidoscope nose that somehow isn't many discrete elements but one beautiful whole: Dark fruit, bloody game, black pepper, violet, and crushed stone. Palate is nicely balanced, crisp acidity, 13% ABV (per label), and soft tannins that turn just slightly drying on the finish, the only perception of oak at age twenty. Excellent.
