  August 23, 2019 - Pop and pour. Beautiful, pure sweet red fruit, with the classic floral and baking spice notes this wine usually has from the whole cluster. The palate is almost impossibly airy and elegant, the extract almost non-existent, and yet with no lack of intensity. I didn't try the 2014, but this could not be more different from the 2013, which was ripe, dense, and backward. A friend of mine used to describe Burlotto Monvigliero as the Chambolle of Barolo, and this bottle is Exhibit A in that argument.
