  September 7, 2019 - Brought with us to Vintage on 5th, Crystal River ($20 corkage). This has improved quite dramatically with bottle age. Not nearly as oaky as it was in its youth. Remains very plush and rich, bursting with delicious mouth-watering black cherry, plum and dark currant fruit. Still displays the ripeness of the vintage, but shows better balance now, with a moderate acidity and just a touch of oak. Finishes long, with notes of leather, espresso, earth and mineral. The slightly grippy tannins are becoming well-integrated. Has developed into a very fine Toscana that still has quite a few years left ahead of it. Paired beautifully with their fabulous filet mignon.
