  September 8, 2019 - Deep red cherry, prunes, leather and spices on the nose. Between medium and full bodied (16% ABV) with red cherry upfront, but with a lot of black cherry undertones. Good depth through the middle as the fruit shows roundness and density, coupled with good expression. Tart notes and tannins come in on the backside, but the balance with the fruit is maintained. Finishes with floral notes, figs and spices. This has the structure to last for many years and with additional time the mid-body should open up a bit, the backside will become even more integrated and will probably pick up some slight additional complexity. Showing well now as a young wine, but well worth holding and I'll save my next bottle until at least Fall 2021.
