  September 14, 2019 - Arrow & Branch Tasting - with CSIMM1161 (AB House): Having this alongside the 2016 vintage was a nice contrast, showing the benefits of age. Nicely complex nose of blackberries, black cherry, loamy soil and embers. This is open for business right now on the palate, with soft and refined tannins shaping the seamless delivery of blue and red pure fruit along with notable mineral driven flavor. It seems to be transitioning to tertiary components, with mushroom, tobacco and some eucalyptus emerging. Nice medium length finish. This is quite a bit softer than the 2016, and it won't reach those heights, but it's still quite delicious.
