September 20, 2019 - Lemon gold. Languid mousse. Nose is slightly yeasty and roasted lemon. Palate is deep Epsom salts and lemon sherbet. Pronounced chalky dryness. Develops beginnings of lightly roasted hazelnuts with extended time in the glass. Very smooth but retaining an angular freshness and zest. A long bell chime of resonant length. Very elegant and still has youthful feminity rather than the more typical masculinity of Sir Winston. One of two bottles given to a friend for their birthday. This has developed quite a bit since I last drank it a year ago but I need to discipline myself to keep my remaining bottles in the back of my cellar for several years and drink the 1999 in the intervening time.

    Cheers!
