September 21, 2019 - Fleshy, sensuous, polished and packed with all the ripe black fruits, licorice, smoke, crushed rock and truffle you could ask for. Full-bodied, silky and rich, with a long, fruit-intensive finish, hold your bottles for a decade and this is going to be star!

Looking at your website, you give both this 16' and the 15' the same score of 96 points. I have had nothing from the producer, so I have to basis.

A 2009 La Conseillante was what got me into wine, so if that's my benchmark, which would you advise me to go with? Thanks!

1/29/20, 9:04 AM - The wines from Beau-Sejour Becot have never been better. 15 is more sexy, 16 is more firm, and will age longer, but take longer to come around. If you were only going to buy 1 vintage of BSB, buy the 2018! It is the best wine in the history of the estate! And for a wine of that quality, it is a steal.

I appreciate that advice. I will try to score a 15' just to give the wine a try and gain a feel for it. If I uncork it, give it an hour to breath, recork, and try it the next day give a good representation? I've done that with some Italians lately and it's work well.

18' looks to be shaping up across the board like it's going to be pretty good. Better than the 15' & 16's?
