September 28, 2019 - Dark Pinot red, no browning from age. Menthol dominates the nose. Below that there is a bit of earthy cherry. There is plenty of acid on the palate with structured, earthy fruit. All in all, this bottle seems grumpy, just like the winemaker himself, if caught at the wrong time - yes, he is brilliant, but just not connecting with you on that day. Very Good.
