October 2, 2019 - Excellent cab with great mouthfeel, layers of flavor and nice finish. Lots of dark chocolate covered black cherries with some mocha. A pleasant chalkiness to this velvety wine. Got better with air as it all integrated - peaked at about 3 hours after opening. Impressive

10/2/19, 7:18 AM - This is, indeed, and impressive wine. I didn't experience it til about a year ago. Didn't get to have it on release and some friends only like their wines then, but this is a great argument for letting wine get some age to it. Might be even better than it is now with another year or two? I have one left and it's taking all my willpower not to open it!

I really think it is underappreciated by most people out there and I think the 6 years of bottle age have paid off bigly! Found it at our local Costco last year and my buddy and I bought the last 6 bottles at $126. Mine is the last one. Was going to wait another year but will be tasting with Kirk Venge in Napa next week. He made this wine. Want to pick his brain about how long it may be in this great window. Take care! Mark
