  September 5, 2007 - This is another big rich 2001, but what distinguishes it from the Cabernet Franc and the Reserve Claret is the lack of good acidity and minerality at its core. I didn’t pick up the drying tannins that Jeff Nowak did recently, but the high alcohol here does make for a more monolithic impression. Bottles I have had earlier showed better to me.
