    November 24, 2019 - needed a 2+ hour decant
    a magnificent baby with everything going on earth, dark fruit some secondary notes
    very early in it's drinking window
    hard to believe this is considered a 5th growth

    11/25/19, 7:35 PM - I'm fine leaving it as a 5th growth so the prices don't get out of control. I paid $130 for a bottle of the 2005. A steal compared to what you'd pay if this was a 1st or 2nd growth. It's already up to almost $200 on release for 2015 and 2016 vintages.

    11/26/19, 7:02 AM - todd...yes, it's slowly creeping up there. Alfred Tesseron has made huge strides at the Chateau in upgrading everything. I'm afraid the prices are only likely to climb further.

    11/26/19, 10:42 AM - The chances are slim. I only say that due to historical precedence. Since 1855, there have only been two changes and only one, Mouton, has elevated its status and that was after years of lobbying and pressure.
