  December 6, 2019 - Pure fruit that gets pretty opulent with some air. Low acidity, short, watery finish. I don’t really get it. 86-87.

  12/6/19, 12:42 PM - Low Acidity??? I'm guessing you might have an off-bottle. Acid levels are typically much higher with this producer than most in Rioja.

  Thanks for your comment. I wasn’t comparing with other riojas but merely with what I like in a forceful red wine. I would have liked this to be more forceful. But maybe it was tannins and acidity together that I found lacking. I certainly liked it, but I don’t see how it can earn 90 points.
