  December 19, 2019 - I saw the laudatory reviews and had high expectations.
  
  The bottle of wine showed no obvious flaws. It was decanted, aerated for an hour, and drunk over the next 2 hours. There was a nice bouquet on the nose, but the wine had very astringent tannins on the palate, a lack of complexity, subdued flavors, and a very short finish. In contrast to others’ reviews, it was quite disappointing IMHO, and I doubt it would improve much with additional bottle aging. For about the same price, I think the 2016 Hall cabernet sauvignon is much better and more promising for the future.

  If you have any remaining bottles, give them a try in about 2+ years or so.
