  December 24, 2019 - Nose is fresh with modestly ripe fruit and nothing else. On the palate it is aptly described as a "fruit bomb" - almost like sparkling fruit juice. Pineapple and peach, with some ripe red apple. It's not too saccharine, either. Overripe by champagne standards, but this isn't champagne! I suspect it's 2019 Top 5 is due more to this wine's merit relative to other Cali sparklers or, for that matter, similarly-priced champagnes. If you're looking for a crowd-pleaser under $50, this is a good bet. This isn't a 95 or 97(!) point wine, but it's a very good value.
